Schiff Associates is a full-service corrosion engineering and consulting firm established in 1959 as M.J. Schiff & Associates.  The company operated as a sole proprietorship until December 31, 1993 at which time it was incorporated. 

Today, M.J. Schiff & Associates, Inc. operates as a succeeding entity to the previous sole proprietorship and recently adopted the DBA of Schiff Associates as we move forward and expand the many services we offer to the corrosion industry.  Our professionals possess a wide range of experience in the assessment, specification, design, and testing of corrosion control facilities.

Clients include geotechnical firms, architect and engineering firms, oil companies, public works departments, water districts and private property owners. We have performed and are performing work throughout the United States and abroad. We provide engineering services, including corrosivity assessments, corrosion investigation and inspection, as well as preparation of plans and specifications for cathodic protection.

We also perform project corrosivity analysis and provide corrosion control recommendations to assist architects and engineers in designing structures that stand the test of time and minimize maintenance costs. We neither sell nor install corrosion control products, materials or equipment and we are not associated with any firms that do. We feel this independence is necessary in order to provide unbiased recommendations for corrosion control to our clients. If clients request or require corrosion control materials and facility installation, we can assist them in obtaining and evaluating bids from qualified contractors.
